ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER

Ever since I can remember, I have always enjoyed taking pictures. I love the colors that nature brings to life and capturing them. Revisiting these images brings me joy! When my son was born in 2009, my focus shifted from nature to him. He would smile on que for his mother because she always had a camera in hand! As he grew and started to play sports, I was right on the sidelines taking pictures.

I have acquired several different lenses to be able to capture the play in real time action both indoors and out. His teammates loved his pictures and asked if I would start to take some of them. My path to sports photography had begun.

Establishing connections with these teams and parents has also been the cornerstone to who I am as a professional. I want the images to evoke emotion when the viewer sees them. I have been around sports my entire life, as the coach's daughter when I was a little girl to a high school standout, college scholarship basketball player, coach, referee and now mom!

Athletics have a way of bringing communities together to share in the triumph or lament in defeat. Kids of all ages love what it means to be a part of a team or in a competition. I want to bring out that moment in time and capture it for a lifelong memory.
